Had an amazing stay! The hotel was really quiet, clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fresh, tasty and varieted. Will definitely come back there on our next stay in Florence!
A very comfortable hotel, located close to Santa Maria Novella church and an easy walk to everywhere in central Florence. Staff was wonderfully helpful! Rooftop bar was delightful for drinks and views. The pool was great to have during the hot weather;
the sparkling water was cold but refreshing. The garden area around the pool was a wonderful respite from the busy Florentine streets.
Rooms were simply appointed but with everything that was needed, with very comfortable beds; the rooms were spotless.
Breakfasts were included and delicious, with a wide variety of foods. Other meals were not available at the hotel.
Although the prices were high in peak season, we felt the amenities were worth it and would definitively stay there again.
We did face a curious problem with our room.
The hotel had some restrictions in place on how the AC/heater may be used. Hence we left the window slightly ajar for some ventilation. We woke up one night with our room full of mosquitoes and had to deal with them in the middle of the night.
Very strange because
1. It was the middle of winter
2. We didn’t face this issue in the other hotels we stayed in Italy during the same period
The hotel might want to look into any mosquito hot spots around the area, perhaps the balcony?
It was a great location - close to the train station and walking distance to everything in Florence. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was helpful. Definitely recommend staying here!
We loved the hotel - room was spacious and location was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooftop is a hidden gem - grab a drink during sunset! We will definitely stay here again whenever back in Florence!
Staff was very qualified and nice. Special mention to reception staff, who was extremely helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good and versatile considering it's in Italy.
Hotel location is really close to train station and Piazza Santa Maria Novella. Walking distance to most attractions in Florence. Rooftop bar has amazing views, even if the drinks are not the best. Did not try the courtyard pool, but it looked very nice.
Rooms could be nicer, but the high ceiling is a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable. We asked for a bathtub and got one.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Croce di Malta - location was perfect!! The room was very clean, spacious and serviced daily. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful with directions and local recommendations. The rooftop view is beautiful and the breakfast service was great.

Staff on departure were very helpful arranging Taxi to our rental car location. Pool is not heated but a wonderful option to relax and cool off from the August heat.
